As Government Affairs Coordinator, Jim works to advance our legislative agenda in Albany and Washington, D.C. He brings extensive experience in environmental nonprofits to Riverkeeper. Previously, he led communications and media relations for conservation and social justice organizations including the Center for Biological Diversity, International Rhino Foundation, Scenic Hudson and Worker Justice Center of New York.
Before joining the nonprofit sector, Jim was a journalist. He has written for the Boston Globe and Globe Magazine, Chronogram, Portland Business Journal and others. He graduated from Suffolk University with a degree in communications and journalism.
Jim lives with his family in the Catskills, tucked between the mountains and the Hudson River. An avid angler, he can be found fly fishing for brook trout in the forest or scouting spots for stripers along the Hudson.
