In the wake of World Rivers Day on September 28, Riverkeeper is doubling down on our commitment to healthy, accessible waterways by signing on to the Swimmable Cities charter — a bold initiative to make our urban rivers safe and inviting for swimming once again. From the Hudson to the Harlem Rivers, we envision a future where clean water is not just a goal, but a guarantee.

We're also proud to support the reintroduction of the bipartisan NY-NJ Watershed Protection Act, which will bring critical federal resources to protect and restore the shared waters that flow through our region.
